Built on a tradition that leaves very little room for shortcuts.
Andrew Wallace founded Traditional Boatworks in 1998 after training in traditional wooden boatbuilding.
That background shaped an approach to woodworking built around material selection, structural integrity, precise joinery and the belief that what is hidden inside a piece matters as much as what can be seen.
Over the years, the work expanded far beyond boats, to custom furniture, large slabs, commercial interiors, architectural woodworking, timber structures and custom milling.
Wallace Wood + Timber represents that evolution while preserving the craft that started it.

We work with the wood from the beginning.
Many furniture makers begin with lumber.
We can begin with the tree.
With in-house milling, kiln-drying capability, an extensive inventory of exceptional slabs and decades of traditional woodworking experience, Wallace Wood + Timber can manage projects from raw material through final fabrication and installation.
Mill
Custom and portable sawmilling allows us to recover exceptional material before it becomes firewood or waste.
Dry
Wood is properly dried and prepared for furniture, architectural and structural applications.
Craft
Traditional joinery, modern fabrication and decades of experience inform every piece.
Install
Projects can be delivered and installed as finished architectural elements, not simply shipped out of a workshop.
